Skotsyn Becomes an Authorized Timney Triggers Dealer in Iceland
We at Skotsyn are pleased to announce that Skotsyn ehf. is now an authorized dealer for Timney Triggers in Iceland.
Timney is one of the best-known names in the world of high-quality triggers for hunting, sport shooting, and precision shooting. Founded in 1946, the company has spent decades specializing in the development and manufacture of aftermarket triggers for a wide variety of firearms.
Why Do Hunters and Precision Shooters Choose Timney?
The trigger is one of the most important points of contact between the shooter and the rifle.
When the shot matters, a shooter wants a trigger that is clean, consistent, and predictable. A heavy, inconsistent, or excessively long trigger pull can make it more difficult to maintain precise aim right up to the moment the shot breaks.
This is one of the reasons Timney has been a popular choice among hunters and precision shooters for decades.
Timney places particular emphasis on:
A clean, crisp trigger break
Consistent and predictable trigger pull
Minimal creep and overtravel on many models
Precision manufacturing and high-quality components
A wide selection for different rifles and firearms
Straightforward installation on many models
Hand assembly, testing, and calibration
Timney’s lifetime warranty
Timney triggers are hand-assembled, tested, and calibrated before leaving the factory. This commitment to quality has helped Timney build its reputation for delivering a consistent and dependable trigger feel from shot to shot.
For the Hunter
When hunting, you do not always get a second opportunity.
Conditions can be challenging, your heart rate may be higher than it is at the shooting range, and sometimes a carefully considered shot must be taken within a relatively short window of time.
A clean and predictable trigger break can help the shooter remain focused on aim and shot placement rather than having to manage a heavy or inconsistent trigger.
A quality trigger can, of course, never replace practice and good shooting technique – but it can help the shooter make better use of the accuracy that both the shooter and the rifle are capable of delivering.
For the Precision Shooter
When maximum accuracy is the goal, consistency matters.
A precision shooter wants to execute every shot as consistently as possible. A clean and predictable trigger break, with minimal unnecessary movement, can help reduce disturbance to the sight picture at the critical moment when the shot breaks.
For this reason, a high-quality trigger is often one of the upgrades precision shooters consider when looking to get more performance from a good rifle.
Timney Since 1946
The history of Timney dates back to 1946, when Allen Timney began manufacturing replacement triggers.
Since then, the company has developed an extensive range of triggers for hunting, sport shooting, and precision shooting, and today offers solutions for firearms from many of the world’s best-known manufacturers.
Timney manufactures triggers for various models from Remington, Tikka, Sako, Ruger, Winchester, Browning, CZ, Howa, Weatherby, Savage, Mauser, Henry, SIG Sauer, and many others, as well as triggers for AR platforms.
